I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and knew from an early age I wanted to become a Veterinarian. I graduated from Trinity High School and went to Auburn University for my undergraduate work. I was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn and graduated in 1992. I had many varied Pre-veterinary experiences with animals working at the Louisville Zoo, assisting with open heart surgery in dogs and working on the sense of smell in drug and bomb detection dogs. I have enjoyed being a general practitioner in Tennessee and Georgia and finally in 1994, Kentucky. At that time, my wife and I moved to Bowling Green coming back to our home state. I met my wife, Dr. Vicky Owens, while in Veterinary School. We have practiced together for almost 20 years and opened All Creatures Animal Hospital 16 years ago, 3 weeks after our first child was born! We have a house and farm full of 3 wonderful children, 5 dogs, 3 cats and a herd of 50 Boer goats. I served as a volunteer firefighter for 23 years, the last 16 years with Alvaton Fire Department. I loved every minute of it. My firefighting led to many interesting professional experiences, including assisting veterinarians in disaster planning and management. I have served at the State level on the KVMA Disaster preparedness committee. I can honestly say that I feel lucky to come to work and treat all the animals that come through our door. My interests in practicing veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine case, stem cell therapy and pain management. It has been wonderful to become a part of the Bowling Green community and get to know so many families. We understand your pets are your family members and feel honored to be given the awesome responsibility of taking care of them.

Veterinarians and Animal Hospitals in Bowling Green, Missouri
Greystone Pet Hospital was founded on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green in 1988 by Dr. Betty Stephenson. From one doctor and one assistant in November of that year to American Animal Hospital certification in 1993, to its current staff of four veterinarians and seventeen technicians, client services representatives and hospital/patient care people, Greystone has developed its reputation as a place where people who care deeply about their pets can go to get the kind of medical care that they want. AAHA is veterinary medicine's only quality control organization, and participation in it is voluntary. Greystone was Bowling Green's first hospital to seek and achieve certification. Dr. Matthew Paxton took over the reins at Greystone in December of 2009, and though Dr. Stephenson is still putting in an appearance three days a week, the bulk of our service is now in the capable hands of Drs. Paxton, Adrienne Price and Amanda Gray.
