The Dumb Friends League has two shelters for homeless pets: our main Quebec Street Shelter and administrative offices in Denver and the in Castle Rock. These full-service shelters offer adoptions, pet admissions, lost-and-found services, and humane education classes for the public.

Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center is a municipality animal shelter for the Town of Islip. We shelter dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles. We are also an adoption center, where we encourage people to come and meet our amazing adoptable pets!Lost pets brought to the Denver Animal Shelter without identification are held for five calendar days. Animals with identification are also held for five calendar days while their owners are contacted. Our online database is updated daily. After the five day hold, animals will be evaluated for adoption or transfer. Animals listed below may already be available for adoption if they have been at Denver Animal Shelter beyond the five day hold period.
